  1. I am looking at an application that would need to maintain
  2. a bidirectional serial interface while also accepting input
  3. from an ethernet socket (UDP). I am assuming UDP/IP because
  4. the ethernet pipe would not ack or do flow control. I have
  5. written BSD socket programs using PC-NFS toolkit but these
  6. libraries depend on having a PC-NFS server present in the
  7. transport level interface. Does anyone supply an SDK that
  8. can interact directly with a network card driver without
  9. previously configuring an NIS or authentication server?
